What makes me a unique candidate for the Calhoun Honors College is not just that I am mature, but the way in which came to be that way.

I haven't just learned the meaning of responsibility, I've shared it. As such, the maturity I gained is a unique response to a fairly common situation. However, disunity over these codes have brought to question whether the codes are honorable or improbable.

While at first glance, honor codes appear responsible and promising the unfound skepticism of students brings to light the confusion and doubt of their ability to rewrite student life. Honor codes have been implemented in my school over the past several years, but these codes must be revised to ensure. To have the opportunity to be a part of this program would mean that I would be able to grow in more than one way. I would take the opportunities to lead in areas such as community service and I would recognize my responsibility to maintain good character as an example for my peers. To be housed with other honors students would give me the chance to meet others with the same drive that I have, even though they may be in a different field of study.

Being around others that have passion in their work would push and challenge me to step out of my comfort zone. Knowing that I can help the community while expanding my knowledge beyond typical education, I am guaranteed that I will reach my goals. In numerous colleges, students have minimal awareness about their honor codes and the punishments that correlate with violating that academic agreement. She addresses the conflict in Stanford University, where students in a computer science class spring up attention on whether the code is still an appropriate use today. These students enrolled in the course were under questioning about their academic dishonesty and received harsh discipline in a class and future occupational field that involves collaboration with others daily. For some, the honor code is unfair considering.

What is the Honor Code? What kind of actions would constitute a violation of the Honor Code? The Kelley Honor Code means to me a set of guiding principles by which to prejudge my actions, and fellow academic candidates as we represent the Kelley School of Business and more broadly, the Indiana University. Accepting the code of honor is to conduct myself with a sense of rectitude and integrity. The acceptance of the Kelley Honor Code will require me to analyze my actions to ensure they are in agreement with the principles within the code. The challenging course load that Honors Students face requires a deeper level of reflection. Students must not only know the material, but have a solid foundation behind it. This forces students to question their worldly views, resulting in a reformed person both socially and academically. Striving for a deeper understanding requires my views to constantly evolve. I fulfill all the four values of the Honors Program by being humble, sincere, hard working and showing gratitude to. All things are possible to a person who stands on the foundation of honor.
